V5B.
Follow the
cold chain.
Temperature, light and location, from dispatch to delivery.
The Frigga V5B is a single-use logger for connected shipment monitoring. Review available readings through the cloud platform and app, receive configured alerts and download a PDF record of the journey.

Keep the essential
information in view.
For growers, packers, exporters and logistics teams who need temperature visibility during transit, alongside light readings and cellular location information.
See changes during the journey.
The internal sensor measures from −30°C to +70°C. Use configured temperature alerts to flag readings outside your chosen limits.
Add context to the record.
Light measurements can help identify exposure around the logger. Review changes alongside temperature and shipment events.
Follow the available route information.
Cellular base station positioning provides location information when supported networks are available. Review it alongside the shipment readings.
V5B uses cellular base station positioning, rather than GPS. Transmission and location updates depend on network availability and the operating environment.

*Choose reporting settings to suit the journey.
Up to 60 days is based on 60-minute reporting. More frequent reporting and operating conditions affect battery duration. The logger records and stores readings while offline, then retransmits when the signal returns.

A few practical questions.
When would I choose V5B over a USB logger?
Choose V5B when you need available temperature readings and configured alerts during transit. A USB logger may suit when a temperature history downloaded at destination is sufficient.
Does V5B measure humidity or use an external probe?
This V5B model measures temperature, light and location. For humidity and handling measurements, compare V5C Pro. For internal and external probe temperature measurements, compare V5Y.
What happens when there is no network signal?
The logger continues recording and storing readings while offline. It retransmits stored data when the signal returns. Live alerts and location updates depend on available connectivity.
How is V5B different from V5B Safe?
This page covers the V5B (5G-60) model. V5B Safe uses a non-lithium battery and has different specifications. Discuss the route, transport requirements and configuration with RTDL before ordering.
Are there ongoing cloud subscription fees?
No ongoing subscription fees apply to the cloud access included with your V-Series logger purchase.
